1. Judea & Samaria / Palestinian state
What is the party’s position on Israeli sovereignty or annexation, settlement expansion, the future of the Palestinian Authority, and the possibility of a Palestinian state?

Amcha Yisrael believes that Judea & Samaria is an inseparable part of the homeland of the Jewish people. We also believe that the government of Israel should support those citizens who are living, or wish to live, in Judea & Samaria. Two members of our list, Eran Ben-Ari and Davidi Ben Zion, have between them spent decades working for the expansion of Jewish communities in Judea & Samaria, with Ben Zion most recently serving as Deputy and Acting Head of the Samaria Regional Council.
In Judea and Samaria we will not wait for another October 7. Israel cannot allow the threat in Judea and Samaria to develop. The Palestinian Authority must be disarmed, apart from small arms for policing purposes, and the agreements must once again be implemented. A continuous security presence, full freedom of action, the dismantling of terrorist infrastructure, effective governance and the strengthening of Jewish communities will prevent the escalation of a threat to the heart of the State of Israel.
Amcha Yisrael’s policy of fighting to ensure a decisive victory in this war seeks to deprive the enemy not only of its capabilities, but first and foremost of the belief that its struggle will ultimately pay off and that a Palestinian state will be established.

2. Judiciary
What changes, if any, does the party support regarding the Supreme Court, judicial appointments, judicial review of laws or Basic Laws, and the balance of power between the Knesset and the courts?
Amcha Yisrael will pursue checks and balances within the judicial system, including a right of appeal for citizens against judicial decisions of the Supreme Court, through the establishment of a supreme appellate court, as is customary in the overwhelming majority of legal systems.
We will advance the separation of the Attorney General’s role into an independent prosecuting Attorney General and a separate government legal counsel, who will assist the government in advancing its policies within the framework of the law.
Amcha Yisrael will not allow legal advisers to tie the hands of our soldiers as they work to achieve victory over the enemy. The State of Israel must act in accordance with the reality and conditions on the ground. We will work to reduce the harmful influence of the legal system on Israel’s security forces.
We will demand that the powers of government authorities be clearly defined in law, and establish a legal system and prosecution service that operate with transparency, measurable standards and accountability.

3. Religion & State
At the moment we have the party summarized as favoring “tradition by love, not coercion,” with a largely secular slate and a more civil/pluralist approach to religious authority. Could you clarify what this means in practice?
For example, what are your positions on civil marriage, conversion, public transportation and commerce on Shabbat, the Chief Rabbinate, and the role of religious authorities in public life?
Like the people of Israel itself, Amcha Yisrael’s slate of candidates contains religious, traditional and secular citizens. Ofer Winter is proudly religious, and during Operation Protective Edge he famously wrote to Givati soldiers under his command invoking the Shema as they prepared to enter battle. This drew criticism from extreme secular lobby groups and Reform rabbis.
Other religious members of Amcha Yisrael include (but not limited to):
Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, number 5 on Amcha Yisrael’s slate and the former Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, is proudly Shomeret Shabbat.
Lali Deri (number 6) has spent many years working to strengthen traditionalism and Sephardi Zionism in public discourse. She talks publicly about raising her children, including Staff Sergeant (res.) Saadia Yaakov Deri HY”D who was killed in combat in the Gaza Strip, with the primary value of “Hineni” (“Here I am”): the willingness to step forward and act for the sake of Torah, the people, and the Land. Guided by these values, Deri works to connect faith with action, strengthen the covenant of service and unity among the people of Israel.
Davidi Ben Zion (number 8) who currently serves as Deputy and Acting Head of the Samaria Regional Council and holds the education portfolio.

4. Nation & Citizenship
What is the party’s position on the Nation-State Law, the balance between Israel’s Jewish character and equal civic rights, and citizenship or immigration policy beyond the Law of Return?

One small follow-up on Gaza as well: after Hamas is removed, what does Amcha envision for Gaza’s long-term governance and Israel’s security role there?
